About Maria Beltran<\/b><\/p>\n
Maria is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants and agricultural workers. Born and raised in Yakima, WA. Her values of hard work and integrity came from an early age, learning from her parents as they picked crops. <\/span>She has worked at the local warehouses, as a community organizer, and has spent over a decade working in public service taking on our state’s biggest challenges at the state and local level.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Maria is running <\/span>to flip and represent the new Latino majority district of the Yakima Valley. She will go to Olympia to advocate and represent all Central Washingtonians. She is committed to running a community-driven grassroots campaign. If elected, Maria will be the first Democratic LGBTQ Latina Senator from Yakima. She is looking for a highly motivated, committed, and teamwork-oriented campaign manager.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
About the Position<\/b><\/p>\n
The Campaign Manager will be responsible for executing a winning campaign and all day-to-day operations of the campaign. This is an in-person position, with evening and weekend work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nResponsibilities:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n\n- Execute winning campaign plan<\/b>, including schedule management, coordinating political outreach and relationships with stakeholders, working with WSDC and team of consultants to implement paid voter contact plans, drafting strong written statements on behalf of the campaign, and creating social media content.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Manage robust field program <\/b>that includes traditional forms of direct voter contact such as <\/span>canvassing (doorbelling), phone-banking, text-banking, and volunteer recruitment and retention. Campaign Manager will manage a team of field staff, interns, and volunteers in addition to participating in direct voter contact efforts.<\/li>\n
- Oversee fundraising efforts<\/b> by assisting fundraising consultants and campaign team to <\/span>implement fundraising programs that include staffing candidate call time and generating and managing fundraising events. Campaign Manager will oversee spending and track the budget.<\/li>\n
- Community outreach<\/b> and attending events as a campaign surrogate.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Qualifications:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n\n- At least one cycle of <\/span>campaign<\/span> experience. Familiarity with state legislative <\/span>campaigns<\/span> and or district experience preferred.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Comfortable participating in traditional forms of voter contact, including canvassing and phone-banking.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment, under tight campaign deadlines.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Capacity to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Sense of humor, humility, and hardworking.<\/span><\/li>\n
- A valid driver\u2019s license and reliable access to a vehicle.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Nice to have but not required qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n\n- Proficiency with computer technology and social media, ability to learn new software <\/span>quickly, and preferably, familiarity with Votebuilder, NGP, miniVan, and Google Drive\/MS Office programs.<\/li>\n
- Bilingual Spanish written and verbal communication skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
